I do all this on a controller
Actually very useful, yes it’s a bit complicated but following the guidelines has shaved many seconds off my times tysm
How to do all this on a controller
Dirt Rally still the best
Wow i have been subconsciously tapping the brake before turns for that reason but i never knew why. I guess i failed so many times i figured it out without knowing how it works thats cool
I've been playing Dirt Rally 2.0 for one year now and my car has never stalled. How does that happen?
FOOLISH PEOPLE ...😅
Can you free driving in that game?
Can you free driving in that game?
so is this game best to set it as auto then manual and instead of useing your brakes can you use your handbrake?
I always set it to manual, more fun for me that way
With the front, I floor the floor, brake in the curve without releasing the accelerator, I cross the car and release the brake and go straight... it works better for me than with the weight transfer, turning so that the rear wheels slide
u look like asmongold but with car and a clean room
What’s amazing about this video is you have put into words & laid out into a science what I have been going off of “feel” for the last 20 years of my life, both IRL and in video games. Like I knew all of this, but subconsciously. This game forced me to spell it out and map it out.
This car was definitely the worst to drive couldnt even get past the first corner of the first race 😂
Group B Cars will always be Hell on wheels
This video is pretty helpful but as he said its for beginners so i personally feel like he shouldnt bring up more complicated things because its a bit confusing
look at you chapter headings. Greece, not grease. It's a country not the stuff you pack in your bearings.
I'm not sure why it says that, I didn't make the chapters, UA-cam must have done it automatically
@@RoadsideTV08 They must use voice recognition. Actually knowing youtube made the chapters in your vid, they did amazingly well.
awds are easy, fwds get a shitty amount of understeer and vice versa for rwds...
Good advices
Sqwrly Rwrldrive
I can only drive awd:) with controller
no you said it right the first time
che bei calzini
My brain just can't process that speed 😅
RwD is definitely the toughest
Thanks for your top bro, ☺
Nice videó
You bring the light into my life again! Maybe I can finally "tame" Audi (GB of course :-)) or Lancia Stratos.........I know what is wrong I know what I want, but dont know how to set it up :-)
Idk if anyone even views this content anymore, but does anyone know what his settings are; like his tires, difficulty settings, handicaps, etc...?
I almost always run soft tires, difficulty is whatever the hardest setting is, no assists
I´m jumping quite late into the game, but this is great advice! Totally a game changer, btw what overlay are you using? I´d like to use 3rd persona camera, but be able to see the wheel inputs as well.
The overlay is called Cortextuals Dirt Telemetry, it does not show up on the main screen though, it's used for recording and streaming so it only shows up on there.
This game pisses me off because i have a drift car irl and thats not how a rwd works, it feels like its floating on ice all the time wtf.. this game is dumb but its fun tho.
Excellent video. I've been taking off about 40 secs a stage off my previous best times today since changing the settings. The cars are totally stable now. Thank you
Oh my god... you applying break sometimes on left leg as well as right leg....😂😂😂. This is not at all good practise
I’ll say for gearing depending on where you are and what your in, your car might run out of gear in the wide open areas so in that case it wouldn’t hurt to up your final gear a little so that your not loosing speed to the rev limiter
Thanks, this really helped
I know im 4 yrs late... But i just got this game and i love it i have always wanted to play a rally game but never had the chance, now Its one of my fave racing games. i like using the "beginner" cars, especially the mini cooper and the escort mkII has always been a fave of mine. That thing is a beast and i love the way it drives for a rwd. Like everyone else is saying, your videos are informative and educational even for driving in real life.
Are you using automatic or manual transmission? What do you suggest beginners like me use?
I always used manual, and honestly I think whatever makes the game more fun for you is what you should use, I personally enjoyed the challenge of manual.
Its wild what just a liitle brake tap will do. Wish i had a sim rig with motion, that would be awesome
"easy cars to drive" meanwhile me after 2 hours or trainimg donut: "you freaking kidding me?"
Appreciate the help. I'm gonna try these settings.
thanks for that video it helped me 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Here cause its on gamepass
do you use the left foot to breake and clucth to any manual car?
I've only ever driven a manual vehicle irl once a very long time ago, but in every racing game yes.
@@RoadsideTV08 oh yeah, my doubt was specifc to racing hehehe. I am practicing this technich but it is still very dificult to learn, nice video bro
Anyone got the preferred degree numbers Toe/Camber Angle, on these cars??
I have been putting up some fast times with stock setups, and i feel my times are limited by my setups now. Top 600 globally fast for reference. I am an advanced driver with Noob setup knowledge. But i do tweak the few things you mentioned in this video and it helps greatly. Thank you for the guide.
All I touch is camber, brake bias & swaybars .. just like rl lol
It was so funny watching you try and talk about FWD as though you knew what you were talking about, and the suggestion that any of these cars “didn’t have handbrakes” mwuahaha priceless. I grew up living on roads that most people consider rally roads and have been driving them since I was 5 years old on everything from ATV’s to Heavy machinery, 4x4’s and sports cars. Handbrake is one of the BEST ways to break traction for FWD on corners, but you only tweak it and only as you near the right spot IN the bend, not before, otherwise the car oversteers and you end up pulling into the hedge (just like you did). Everything else was fairly accurate, nice effort, and nice presentation.
dude how..
I would drive next to him
pulling hand brake on the hair pins on fwd allows the car to turn in and the steering is fairly manageable based on the camber angle of wheels
